  1. New Collectors Board
I was interested in buying a Walther P38 or P1 because they look interesting, much to my surprise I actually found a P38 in my area. Seller says “The date code is a 1943. From the ac 43.” But I know absolutely nothing about them and would like any information you all could provide. Here are the...

  2. New Collectors Board
Hello everyone! I need a bit of help. At first glance it looks like a P38 holster, but there a few interesting things. It does not have the horizontal stitching on the top, commonly seen on other softshells. It does however have it in the middle of the back side. The belt loops seem to be...

Hello, I recently purchased a Walther mod hp swedish contract (second contract). The hammer release was broken off, and only the lower part with the hole was still attached with the hammer pin. I'm in search of finding the correct hammer release. The ones they have at numerich and cdnn won't...

Guy at church wanted me to fix his “luger” which was a disassembled P38. I am guessing its a post war import: importer stamp on tang, parkerized type finish and black plastic grips. The holster is cool and cant find any markings. I am not a P38 expert. Anyone else observe anything?

Hi guys, I am new on this forum and would like to let you know that a project that took over 20 years, finally made it to the printer. I started this project with Orv Reichert in 1995. The idea of a new P.38 book was born. It was a bumpy road to finally get there, though I think it was...

I recently came across an online ad for a P38 on a site that caters to local sellers and buyers. There was scant information in the ad but the holster pictured with the pistol gave me an idea it was likely a war-time pistol. I currently own a cyq P38 but have always had a hankering for a...

  8. West German Army Pistols & Holsters 1955-now
Hello all! I picked up this P38 recently. I'm having a very hard time finding out any info on it. There is no date on the right side of the slide. W 9.73 is by the trigger guard. (I believe this to be a repair date, sept. 1973?) All serial numbers match on the barrel, slide, and frame. Could...

Did any early 1940 P38 holsters have brass hardware? I've never seen the latch hardware in brass, but my dilemma is that I've never seen repro's made with brass hardware either. Another crime against humanity is going down at...
