This question probably doesn't belong on this forum, but here goes. I was going through my collection and came upon a 1907 Swedish Browning that I haven't seen for quite sometime. On the rear of the frame above the grip safety and just below the slide are the letters T.T.H.K. under a small Swedish Crown. All Swedish Guns have Crowns all over them!! Can anyone tell me what those letters stand for? Unit Mark, property mark? etc.,etc.

Dave,

Reference your 1907 Swedish Browning. "Hoba" in his post above is absolutely correct that "HK" is for inspecting officer Captain Helga Kolthoff. "TT" is for the supervisor, who at present is unknown. Source: "The Belgian Browning Pistols", by Vanderlinden, page 115.

Incidently, on page 117, Vanderlinden shows a photograph, (fig.117-3), of a Model 1907 marked exactly as you describe your pistol: T.T. H.K. below a small crown, on the rear of the frame. The serial number of the pistol shown in the photo is: 2560, and was manufactured during the first year of production, 1917, according to the author.
