I'm no expert in commercial lugers, but bought this one today..
Can anyone tell me a little about it?

I think this is a 1908 commercial.
Serialnumber is 41026.

Usally I only collect WW2-lugers, but this came to Norway with german troops during the war, and have been here ever since..

Thanks!

Peter,
I'm not an expert, but I would say yes it is a 1908 Commercial.
And a very nice one at that. 5 digit ser#, lazy N on the left receiver, hidden commercial numbering, no stock lug. It all fits. Nice find, Congratulations!

Peter,

Yes, that is a P-08 Commercial, and a rather nice one at that.

The left receiver proofs are actually crown/B, crown/U. I would expect that these would be found under the barrel, with a crown/G added. If you do a search on these forums for "BUG proof" you should come across posts explaining their meaning.

c/B,U,G proofs are an indication that tis gun was manufactured before 1910, when the c/N proof was instituted.

Congratulations on an excellent find, and thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks!
But what would the correct magazine for this gun be?

Two magazines came with the gun, one WW2 E/63 and one early nickle plated magazine with wood- bottom and no serialnumber/proofmarks. Is the latter one the original magazine?

Peter, the latter would be correct as the pistol was first produced woth a wood bottum magazine.
