You will note in this manual dated 1911 that the Putzzeug was shown in the back of the manual for use with either rifle or pistol and this is the proper manual for a swiss cross and shield as evident by the photo.
The carrying case has long been said that it was for swiss ammo but the soldiers were quick to utilize the case to contain the cleaning kit and a tin of grease.
The sight adjusting tool is an original armourer's sight tool and proofed with the swiss cross.
