I found a 1915 dated holster on ebay. I hope I'm not getting soaked.
The maker is "Floeto & Premcr Berlin"(Quoting seller discription). Has anyone heard of it. The seller guarrantees authenticity, or full refund. And has all positive feedbacks.

Thanks! Ron

Ron, I believe the mark would read FLATOW&PRIEMER over BERLIN over date. This is a documented maker in Berlin. I have a couple of photos of an LP08 holster made by them and dated 1915. Is the holster you are looking at an LP08 or P08?

I believe this holster belongs to an Italian collection.

Geo, It's a P.08 holster.I was wondering about their spelling.Thought maybe a Greek made it. Will post photos when it shows up. You've got my LP.08 holster! BTW, Did you ever decypher the marks through that Virginia creek water?:) We'er going to have to get together on that, before I end up in the old collectors home for the terminally bankrupt!

Thanks! Ron

I got this via UPS today. I won it on ebay. The sellers photos were lousy and barely any discription. I just had that gut feeling not to pass it up.I'm glad I did'nt. I've been looking for a nice holster to go with my minty 1915 DWM.
It's dark brown with orange stitching.Ron Wood explains that this is due to the use of Mercurochrome, often used on the thread of early holsters to prevent attack by mold, mildew etc.The holster has a very strong scent of it. Stamped under flap "FLATOW & PRIEMER BERLIN 1915". It has a combination pin punch? and tool pocket.Beautiful cond. Leather is very supple, not dry or crazed in the least. Three stitches have come loose on left side of flap. Everything else is sound. Now I need to find a nice tool and punch. Ron

Ron, I'll send you a tool and punch. That sounds odd...how about I'll give you a punch with a tool?

" Yesterday at the Acme Tool&Die company. A worker was struck by a tool,... and died!"

*George Carlin*

Geo, Why don't you just send me that 1916 and holster with the tool and punch inside. And I'll just transfer them. I think that would be much easier! For both of us.:)
BTW, Found "Hide Food" at the site below. About $20.00 including S&H.
