I recently purchased a 1918 DWM and my question is:

What is the marking on the front of the grip "L.P. 437." ?

It is probably a police marking.

Can you provide more information? serial number, including suffix? Does it have a sear and or mag safety?

Can you provide other markings on it? proofes, acceptance, etc.

and can you provide pictures?

Landjagerei (rural police) Potsdam (city) weapon #437....not Luger # but of all wepaons in stock, this Luger was assigned weapon number 437........hope this helps
