This is a photo of my 1918 DWM as the picture shows the bluing is thinning of the 'ears' also on the receiver on the end where the barrel is attached the bluing is good but as you go back on the receiver where the metal is thinner the temper brownish finish is showing though. I have been told this is common on 1918 Lugers as they were being produced quickly due to the way the war was going.
