What is the "B,O,S" marking, and the odd symbol in front of the "E"?
Are these markings common on 1923 Commercials?

The 1923 was on GB. This is the legend they had posted with it.

Hi Ron,

The alphabet letters found on several gunparts are factory inspection markings in the form of Alphabet letters. They were allowed, as long as they were not exposed to the outside.

Vlim, Thanks! When I saw the discription. I thought these marks were stamped on the external parts of the pistol. Such as some sort of Unit or National markings.
