1934 Mauser - Navy & Navy marked holster

I have had this for many (about 25 +\-) years. There were four prior owners. The first was the German navy. The second was the GI who liberated it from the navy yard storage facility and kept it until he died. He loaded it and kept it under the cushion of his chair. Then his wife owned it briefly until she sold it to a person who I knew. This guy in turn sold to me very shortly afterwards.

The pistol was, accoring to the story that went with it, never issued, but was waiting to be issued. It is 100%. The holster is also navy marked and is almost like new. It is shaped to the pistol as it has been it for many years.

The pistol was inside this sack. It is evident that it was not made for the pistol. From the shape I would guess that it might have been made for the P-38. If anyone has any information on this, I would appreciate it.

I'd like to volunteer to be the fifth owner if you'd like to sell it! Really nice pistol.

Charles,
Is there a Navy property mark or is it without?

It has no Navy property mark.
