This is a repeat effort on my part as the hacker took care of the last posting of this gem but let me state right off, that this is my first attempt with the "BIG GUN" camera and I'm on a learning curve here so keep the snickering till the end. This example is of significate educational value for those who are interested in Banners as this is an complete rig and as such has some unique features. Trust you will learn as well as enjoy. It is as they say, a "Keeper"!

It is interesting that the Police at this time were stamping their magazines much like the military with no 1 and 2 but a plus sign for the extra magazine.

Regardless of what it might look like , it is an Eagle K proof. All the eagle K loading tools which came out of Norway some 8 to 10 years ago had this same characteristics of double strike and "dull" tool die. This is such an example.

Huggiebear,

I recently acquired a 1938 Mauser Banner Eagle K. And was concerned about the markings on the bottom of the magazine. I was going through old post and found your post from 2004. Of cause the picture links in the post no longer work, but it turns out your remarks about the magazine match mine exactly, "It is interesting that the Police at this time were stamping their magazines much like the military with no 1 and 2 but a plus sign for the extra magazine." I would love to see the pictures if you can repost them. But if not, just the fact that you confirmed my magazine is correctly marked helped ease my concerns. Thanks,
