For those who are interested in sub-variations on the same model , I have one shown of which only a few are known to exist and is 36 numbers away from one that is listed in Still's "Axis Pistols". It shows that even though Mauser was making new production for the Wehrmacht it apparently had some liberties when addressing Police procurement as pre-existing Simson parts are shown to be utilized here.
