Just picked up this Luger today at a show. 1939 42, sn 4797q SE63(lg) SE63(sm) LTP grips sure appear original but are not #ed. Left grip has S right has T stamped on insides. All #es match except for magazine.

I recently picked up what appears to be within 2 units of the transition between SE63 small and large

1939 S/42, sn 8176p, SE63(lg) SE63(sm) MTP. mag 8176p SE63(lg), no serial # grip style, with the 0 on left grip

All data prior to 8173p has the small 63, and all data ahead of mine appear to has large 63, for the first eagle. Mine fits in between the following two from the table in the OP, and assuming that serial 9543p has a large 63 instead of medium.

1939 S/42, sn 8173p, SE63(sm) SE63(sm) MTP. mag 8173p SE63 (and a "+")
1939 S/42 sn 9543p, SE/63 (med) SE/63 (sm) MTP, grips match, mag matches E/63 medium +, red
