89.24 KB Here is a good example of a round top number 3 that is ALWAYS found on the frame front but will have a flat top 3 on all other remaining parts on a MAUSER luger. Remember , I said MAUSER !

104.47 KB Because of the uniform spacing of the numbers , I can't help but to say that it is my opinion that the serial numbers were always stamped on the magazine with the use of a 4 or 5 digit number jig. This refutes any such thoughts as the number 8 is double stamped and , in this case, could have only been done utilizing a single hand stamped die. Discussions with machinists have told me that some , will enough practice , can become very proficient with the hand stamping of numbers. Apparently so.
