I HAVE WANTED A LUGER FOR A LONG TIME BUT SOME OF THE PRICES MADE ME THINK TWICE, RECENTLY I BOUGHT A 1940 /42 ON THE TOGGLE THE OWNER TOLD ME FIRST OFF THAT IT HAD BEEN REBLUED,IT MUST NOT HAVE BEEN POLISHED MUCH BECAUSE EVEN THE TINYEST STAMPS ARE STILL SHARP.ALL NUMBERS MATCH EXCEPT THE MAGAZINE,MY QUESTION IS WHY WE CAN RESTORE OLD CARS OR OLD FURNITURE AND PEOPLE PAY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS BUT REBLUE A GUN AND PEOPLE BALK AT IT. I BOUGHT IT TO SHOOT NOT COLLECT BUT I'D STILL LIKE TO GET MY MONEYS WORTH.( SERIAL NO. 18XX,) THANKS FOR LISTENING BOOMSTIX

SORRY I GAVE EVERYONE THE INFO EXCEPT WHAT I PAID FOR THE PISTOL IT WAS 425.00 BOOMSTIX

There is a good reason for the diff in price of a re-blue and an original. Lets look at your car statement and I think you'll see. What would you give for a restored mod A Ford? Now,what would the same car be worth in working order order say 98%original condition?
