Hi forum members,
I am considering to buy very nice 1940 Luger code "42" that has 2 matching magazines . As everybody knows those rigs are the most wanted.
Everything looks good but i am not 100% positive if one of those magazines ( or 2) been re-stamped or forced to match.
This is expensive pistol and before i will place my offer i may need your help.

Please look at attached photos and let me know what you think about those magazines?

Any comment and opinions will be greatly appreciated.

P.s What may be estimated value for this pistol with 2 matching mags?

Seems to be a very nice rig...people will try to tell you that one mag is a bit off...but still looks very very close

The problem is that, when you go to sell the luger, there will be questions on those mags!!......they may well be authentic, but the fact they are double stamped will always raise doubts.....

Looks pretty legit... Two leftmost digits look overstamped on the spare mare, and only the rightmost digit on the 1st mag?

The 5 is double struck for sure on the right mag in the picture. Probably ok but the price will suffer a bit. Maybe $500/$1000 off for the slight doubt introduced in the current climate of fear.

The fact that data shows E/655 on magazines ended in the "d" block in 1940 would make me think twice.
