This is a 1942 Police holster.

It is marked

Schambach & Co
Berlin
1942

Eagle with 'B'

Unfortunately this holster does have some imperfections, but it will have to do me until I find a better one.

Charlie, I have to agree with Ed, Pretty nice piece and I would say it will be difficult to upgrade. I can only spot one imperfection and one possible.

What I would like to know however, is about the stud on the tool pouch...is it painted? It looks it from the photo's. Also is there paint on the washer of the closure stud? Thanks for the treat! Jerry Burney

The stud on the tool pouch is painted. There is a little nick on the left side and also a slightly smaller nick on the right side. The metal shows through. I don't know why the nicks are there as it looks like the tool pouch lid may not have ever been closed (or if so, then only a very few times.)

There is paint on the washer of the closure stud. But most of the sides on the washer of the closer stud is not painted.

Charlie, Thanks for that info. I have seen some but very few painted studs. Mostly on as new condition holsters such as yours. I wonder if they were all painted and just wore off with use. Then I wonder why they would bother to paint them as they hold up really well over the years. Just German effenciency I suppose! Thanks, Jerry
