Gentlemen-

The other weekend I found an interesting M35 Beretta pistol
offered for sale that had an unusual marking on the rear frame.
It was a 1944 (dated on the slide) gun with a polished blue finish.
However, instead of a common 4UT stamp, it had a very small proof
that looked to me just like a flaming bomb symbol. Unfortunately
I'd forgotten my magnifying glass & didn't record the serial #.

Does anyone out there know more about this one?

I would need a photo, but that may be the Brescia proof. The proof house closed in 1930, but the stamp continued to be used until the end of the war.

Would that make it a commercial production piece,
similar to the 'PSF' proofed examples I've seen?
