Am purchasing a 29 Swiss. It has (pictures only) a P preceding the serial number on the left side rail.
It is not a commercial and is in the 1941 military serial range. There is no P on the toggle with the serial number. Is this a privatation P which indicates private sale? Is this a normal place to put this? I'm obviously not a Swiss collector and would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.
