While looking on eBay for Luger stuff, I came across a strange listing for a Luger magazine listed as a "rare" 380 Auto, made in Japan.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-LU...D-JAPAN-HTF/113695220247?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

This sort of rang a bell, as I used to own a MGC Luger PlugFire prop gun. In looking at the photos posted by the seller, I recognize the look of the magazine, and specifically the fact that it had Japan on it. I never tried to put any real ammo in my MGC magazine, but I do remember that the ammo size was a bot odball (smaller) as to prevent someone from putting real ammo in it

My concern is that someone will buy it and somehow manage to put live ammo (380 Auto) and hurt themselves.

I asked th eseller to chnage the listing description or remove it, but he has ignored my messages. So the question is, would you think it's a good idea to ask eBay to remove the listing?

Is it possible that this could actually be something for a real firearm? I'm almost 100% sure it's from a MGC Luger prop.

I wouldn't worry about it and certainly would not give Ebay any more "ammo" for kicking all gun parts off their site. I have already had serious problems with Ebay and Paypal removing listings and stealing my money for listing gun parts. The last thing we need is more RED flags waiving in their face about a stupid listing.

I see nothing wrong with the description, it appears to be exactly what the seller describes(I added the red highlighting for
clarity!).:

"FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION, YOU ARE BIDDING ON A USED, VINTAGE LUGER P08, MAGAZINE. THIS IS UNUSUAL, IN THE FACT THAT IT LOOKS TO BE FOR A .380 ACP CARTRIDGE. IT IS WELL MADE AND NOTE THAT THE LAST PHOTO IS JUST A COMPARISON OF THE SIZE OF THE FOLLOWER. THE UPPER ONE IN THE PHOTO IS THE MAGAZINE UP FOR AUCTION. FOLLOWER IS ALLOY, BODY IS BLUED STEEL AND FOOT ALLOY. STAMPED "JAPAN" ON THE LOWER PORTION OF THE SPINE. INFORMED IT IS USED IN A PROP PISTOL. A RARE FIND! IT HOLDS 8-ROUNDS, BLANKS. HARD TO FIND/RARE."
