Got this today for what I think is a good price. Only around 80 to 85% but I couldn't pass it up. The holster tool pouch is small a tool will not fit. Were 41 marked Lugers have a smaller tool?

Thanks for the additional pictures, mine is a leather as well with pigskin tool pouch. It is definitely a little short and the tool it came with was ground down a little extra on the tip to accommodate

Thanks for the info. I wonder why they did that?
I think the pouches must have been stitched too tight, this was done at times by forced labor so it’s hard to say exactly. I can give you the address for the factory if we want to pursue it further. I think to accommodate the smaller pouch they made slight adjustments to the tools. My bdq 41 came with a slightly shortened tool and I gave it away thinking it was weird , but then realized I broke up history 🥲 . I discovered the short pouch and heard this was a practice from an experienced collector , you live and you learn. You and I don’t know each other, but if both our bdq 41 holsters have small tool pouches, we can surmise that it’s a pattern, lol. See we made a discovery. I’ll check my other bdq holsters and see how the tool pouches are on those.
