50 rd box of 9mm for P.08

How much were they asking? I'd have bought it if it was reasonable
I looked in Sturges and did not see one. Of course there are many 7.65mm and 9mm 'commercial DWM boxes

After looking at a few threads on 08 ammo I think it's bad. Note the wear crease on the label, there's none on the box.

Not something worth faking. The label identifies the RWS / Geco plant in Durlach and the box shape suggests a type similar in construction to their commercial boxes, just without printing.

They may have used up old commercial packaging in late 1943, early 1944 due to supply issues.

Interesting box.

I wish I could run into a box of 7.65 WWII ammunition, even commercial.

Probably about as close as you can come. Made in the early 30's by DWM.

Do the bullets have a black seal line around the base (casemouth)?

The bullets are iron core, the Tp abbreviation suggests it is for tropical use (North Africa).

Good catch! yes it does look like a label taken off a legit box which wrapped down and around the side and now is flattened out.

Those are correct 'tropical' cartridges.
