Notice the difference in the bluing due to the flame hardening. The "thumbprint" is also very clear.

Hi Dave,

Splendid S code KH!
I looked in the recent list of orphan mag's by Don Hallock.
Closest is the SN# 485. Rolled tin, Alu bottom, 1-HK-S type. Should do it,
but then you are still a small hundred off...
There is also orphan HK 643 waiting for its parent Luger. That one is registered as a HK-No data.
Contact Don if you would like to know the conditions of the owner.

Good Luck!

Hello Dave,

Is that trigger lever strawed ?? Or it's my eyes that are playing tricks......

I'm asking because I have #717 KH S Code and it has, if my memory serves me well, a strawed recoil lever ( ?? ) I'm a little shy of posting photos of the pistol as it is in a......poor condition. ( it was the only one I could find !! )

Thanks for the info......( I wish I could have a nice one like yours....)

Mark.... The trigger lever is in the white (or grey). Just light reflection....... I would suggest you post what you have. We all learn something each time one of us takes the time to do show and tell....... I think Lugers are something like girls...... some are just a little more pretty than others........

Very nice Dave, and well said. I appreciate the sharing of info, it is amazing how one gun treated different over the years can look so changed over another one only a few serial numbers apart.
