Here is an example of an interesting post war made P.38. In 1953 the East Germans made a very small run of P.38's with newly manufactured parts. It is a mystery as to why they did this since there were so many war time guns going through their rework program at the time.
This example is a nice transition piece in my collection from the war time P.38's to the post war guns, made from parts, known as CZ46's and the French made SVW46's to the newly made Walter guns later in the 1950's.
I had never seen one of these before until this one fell into my lap.
