Submitted from my collection is a rather unusual P.38 which by all acclaimed sources is THEE one to have but is the rarest of all P.38's. Trust you will enjoy it.

huggiebear,

Very nice gun and great photo's! The first photo is my AC no date, the second picture a bit of an anomaly. It is an AC added in the no date serial number range, in fact the serial number is lower than your gun!

The gun must have been in the factory for some reason when the order came down to add the 40, very similar to the rare 480 40added guns.

Mark : I would think that your summation is on the money but we can only guess as to what was taking place. It could have well been a reject or held up on production or authorites decided to accept whatever was wrong/out of specifications and then at a later date was processed. Either way a nice example.
