BigRon,
* All parts e/359 marked, correct numbered & e/359 grips, all matching S/Numbers, fully functional, matching numbered mag??
* Even without a matching mag, if the rest of the above is satisfied, $800 would be a good number. A 98% original, high polish finished, matching ac40 with all of the above can bring $2000 per the latest Standard Catalog of prices not considering the numbered mag.

Bigron, from what I have seen, professionally restoring will increase the value, but usually to about what you have in it.

i.e. $800 gun + $400 reblue / restore {or more}, is probably not worth the $1200 (unless it is very rare or unusual)

There is no way you could get it restored</u> for $400! You could, of course, get it reblued</u> for that price..

Big Ron,

The grips should be numbered to the gun and have the e/359 acceptance stamp on them. I would not mess with the finish. Using 00000 steel wool and a little gun oil will remove the dip but if you rub too hard you have a messed up gun. I would leave it the way it is and look for e/359 small parts that are not on the gun currently and try to find a mag with the correct letter block and numbered grips to make it look nicer.
