Tuco (10/13/03)put the following notice in the moderator board:
“Notice - Over the next few days the boards will be slow. We are altering the database a bit to allow better performance. Also updating the security features of the server. By mid to late week things should be fast again - Tuco”

Some of us collectors have had problems with the slowness of this site for some time. For long spans of time each day the site is not accessible. It sounds like Tuco is on his way to solving the problem.

Please inform other collectors (that no longer use this site because of the access problems) that the problem is being solved.
Note: it took 3 tries and over an hour to transfer this message from the moderator board to here.

For the last few days it has become so slow that I had quit posting. Apparentally the slow is not pecular to Alaska. Starting this morning it is working better than ever. I dont know what Tuco did but it fixed the problem. Many thanks to Tuco.

The update is terrific.! The speed vastly improved. Outstanding.... I'm on T1s and bonded SDSLs, and it has never been this fast at this time in the evening.
