While browsing the website of a large and well known
gun retailer, I came upon some images of one of these
rare pistols. It is in the mid six thousand serial #
range, not too far from my own example ( s/n 7129 ).

It also appears to bear the same Crown/M stamp as my own.

So this makes one more reported Imperial Jager so far!
(Sorry the photos aren't better, but I didn't take them)

Richard,
Thanks for the info. According to my tally, that makes 59 reported Jagers so far, with 11 of them Imperial marked...does that agree with your count?

Glad to be of some service!

Incidentally:
About five years ago, before I got my own, I saw a Jager
with Imperial acceptance offered for sale at one of the
shows sponsored by my collecting club. At that time, the
dealer described it as being "One of 13 Known to Exist".
I knew nothing about the subject then, and didn't think
to ask what his source of information might have been.
That particular vendor no longer attends our shows, but
I still wonder who could have recorded so many of these
Army- marked guns. (And quite some time ago to boot...)
