The inside of the holster has 3 characters of equal size. The marking is "BA" followed by an indistinct character ...either a "1" or capital "i". Any idea as to the significance.
BTW the holster number matches the 1917 DWM pistol. The pistol and holster have no other distinctive markings.
Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

The BAII or III? on your LP08 holster signifies: the Bekleidungsamt ( Clothing Procurement Office) of the II (or III?) Army Corps. Holsters were issued to troops from this office.
