Hello,

I have seen this model 1917 locally for sale.

I am looking at the grips and the magazine and thinking they are both replacement? My understanding is the 1917 model only had wooden grips?

on second looking, this is model 1915 and should reflect this on the slide right side. The model 1915 should have wood grips unless made much later. The "1917" in the title through me ... Bill

This is the 7.65 version of the 1915 which is often referred to as the 1915/17 or 1917. Grips are original. IIRC the metal grips are found on post war examples. It's a little hard to read the S/N but if its 50k+ then they are probably original to that gun. Wartime production ended somewhere in the 50k range.
