Huggiebear is correct in that the late war flat base mags are constructed like the finger extension mags. Therefore, it does appear that yours is aftermarket. You can see a picture of an authentic mag offered by Randy Bessler at:

Fortunately, standard finger rest mags are in good supply, and Randy does offer a few for sale. Don't forget the 1934 mag is slightly wider between the lips than the 1935 model.
