So it's snowing here (yes, April 12 and still snow), we have been under home lock down for a couple of weeks now and I am bored, so I took some shots of my latest find. Not rare by any stretch, but just a nice solid unmolested example which is how I like them. What we have here is a Colt M1917 New Service revolver. All matching numbers (these were marked on the cylinder crane, frame and underside of both grips). The Army serial number on the butt is just that - an Army serial number. From what I understand, this revolver falls into a range of serial numbers which have been lost to time, but based on associated numbers of other guns, it is assumed to have been produced/shipped sometime in November of 1918. So it never made it "Over There", but still a nice example.
