I recently obtained this photo of 3 German Wehrmacht soldiers in full gear. The soldier to the far left is wearing a 7.65 pistol holster. What would you guys guess it is? I was leaning towards a CZ24 or CZ27 holster.

Thanks,
Adam

Thanks Ron. Yes it's mine. I have been picking up quite a few interesting original photos, that involve pistols or holsters, lately. I will probably post some more of them in the near future. Thanks for your interest,
Adam

Nice photos.
Just one point - I own a vz24 pistol, and it is 9mm Short (.380 Auto). The vz27 is .32.
My holster, made in 1937, looks like the one in the photograph, but weren't there other similar designs, such as the holster for the FN1922?
The Germans used many vz24 pistols captured from Czech Army stores, as well as newly produced vz27s.

Ron, I often come across WWI photos with pistols and holsters in them. I am not particularly interested in them and would be glad to let you know when I find some.

While there were other pattern holsters used with the FN Browning 1922, I suspect that you are refering to the Theuermann Patent hoster.

To my knowledge this holster was never issued with the P.24 or P.27.
