There is a silencer for this in the Springfield Armory collection. The last I knew they do not have a specimen of the pistol with special barrel.

Was a silencer ever made for the 27? And if there was one was their special ammo to keep the speed under the speed of sound?

Now, here's the question: there are longer than normal holsters for these pistols known BUT not long enough (so far as I know) to carry the pistol with suppressor attached. How as the suppressor carried?

To CBrown: Never seen another as standard holster.
To Orv: For silenced CZ 27 was made special ammo marked " Pist. Patr. 7,65 X". In DWJ (German Weapon Magazine) 6/1993 you can see a copy of original "Einnahmeschein". You can read there: 25 Schuss 7,65 abgebrochener Ladung (broken charge).

Bullet was blackened and if I remember correctly headstamp is X only. I have a round somewhere but I can't find it...
Holsters looked like the usual P Mod 27 holsters, some black, some reddish brown, but longer than the usual holster to accomodate the extended barrel.

Finally found the round. Steel case w lacquer coat. Red primer annulus seal and red case mouth seal. Copper-clad bullet (not blackened); headstamp X only.
