following is posted for Jim Cate..

CZ 24 dated 28, 79380, Nazi test eagle on right triggerguard, P 1 P 955 x'ed out on front gripstrap, brought home nickeled (no evidence it was ever blued), came to home in nice black (color original) 1938 dated holster with 24 in a circle inside also. This is / was probably an SS police pistol at one time.

see / read 4th paragraph on page 54 relating to gripstrap markings & SS lightning runes. No mine doesn't have the SS runes, but the SS got substandard captured weapons until 1940/41, and mine has similar gripstrap markings. Having the test eagle rather than military acceptance also would add credibility perhaps. JIM
