151st Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment was located in Praha (Prague, capital of Czechoslovakian Republic), commanding officer lieutenant colonel Josef HRNCIR. Pre WW II Czech Army has only one AAA regiment: The 151st. Deal of century I think...

Jan and everyone, Thanks for the information. I only have a few books on military weapons and one of the Blue books. Without your advice I would not have been able to realise how special a DR marked Cz27, a long frame Cz28 inletted for shoulder stock, and this recent find might be. It is obvious that many bringbacks are being found by family members in the corner of a sock drawer after a WW2 Vets burial with military honors...thanks for the partial history of these pistols. Would you be able to tell me where the 21st Regiment Infantry was located?

Also need to know about CZ24 mags. This one has SN and c arrow z, another I have is unmarked and I have heard there are ones marked P.Mod. 24. When were each used? Is there a good book covering these topics
Thanks Bob Obreiter

Bob,

J is the unit mark for dragoon regiments (mounted), UZ is the unit mark for the Central Arsenal

Cz-24 mags with serial numbers are the early production magazines. I think that the magazines were serial numbers up to the early 30's. The last run of Cz-24's did not have serial numbers on the magazines. P mod 24 marked magazines are German occupation made magazines.

1st dragoon regiment "Jan Jiskra's of Brandys" was located in Terezin. Commanding officer: Major Vaclav KREJCIRIK.

UZ means SAPPER SCHOOL. Sapper school was located in Litomerice, commanding officer Colonel Oto BERGER.

Terezin to Litomerice distance is about 3 miles.....
