If you can figure out a way to photograph your Dreyse carbine, please show the photograph here. I have not seen one amd would be interested. I could not estimate the value of such a rare carbine but would consider $2000 too little.

The 700 K.S. Gend. marked Dreyse were numbered in their own serial number range of 1-700. Some Dreyse M1907 production continued into the Weimar Era.

I have 368 and 628 recorded that are commercial.

Please examine the letters in the unit stamp. Any chance that the "L" is an "E" and the "R" is a "K" which would make the stamp: 2nd Ersatz Machine Gun Kompangie, 18 Army Korps.
