Hey guys. I am researching this one for my Dad. Any help you can give is much appreciated. Serial Number 5741. This is stamped on the left side of the receiver and in the front, under the barrel. 41 is also stamped on the large square metal area, above the trigger on the left side. There are 5 markings on the Right side of the receiver, in line with the barrel, but I cant make them out. The first one may be a very small eagle, like the one often seen above the swastika.
Has wooden base mag S/N 3525 and 1241. Holster has German Eagle with swastika underneath with WaA107 under this, and initials? K.W.K. and 1939 stamped on the back.

Hi Ted,
there will be R.W.K. on the (III. Reich) holster.
In most cases are 4 markings on the receiver of the 1917 dated DWM Lugers (crown T underlined, S, S in most cases and the powerproof eagle).
The wooden base magazine is not matching but seems to be of the Imperial time.
Some photos would be nice.
Regards Klaus

Photos Attached.

Pictures attached. Couldn't get the numbers to show well on camera.
There is a 5th Symbol before the 4 Klaus shows above. Looks like the III Reich Eagle.
Also has stock attachment area on back.

looks to be a nice luger, photos are out of focus so hard to see all the markings but the blueing looks quite nice, the nines that are on the outside of the grips look to be burned in and painted black, is this correct or just aged.

Ted... It would appear the gun started off as an artillery model with a 8 inch barrel. The little slot on top of the receiver would indicate that. A close up shot of the right hand side of the receiver showing the stamps would sure help.
