hello friend , I have just bought a 1908 bulgarian contract luger with all cyrilic inscriptions and BG seal and DWM logo, sn187 C and all matcing numbers, exept the magazine wHich is 40-42 mauser production. Unfortionaly the item is almost entierly white (no more than 25-30 % blue at all ) hard use in 4 wars!!!, but it is a nice piece after all isn it. I think it is from 1910-1911 year prodused 10000 pieces for bulgarian army, by DWM, did someone knows anything more specific about thise contracts? (I,m bulgarian and dont mean history of the region - wars in 1912, 1913 WWI, WWII ,becouse I am a historian , but some other details?

Welcome to this Forum. Excellent presentation of your 1908 Bulgarian, serial number 187c. Of all the military Lugers, these show the most combat use. They saw action in both Balkan Wars and in both World Wars and are collectors prizes in any condition. (see page 305 Axis Pistols, or page 69-71 Volume I, for more information on Bulgarian Lugers.)
