The gun was a find ... but a double e/135 mag with the gun is super rare! Not many P.38 (no "v") e/135 mags are seen..... an early gun with a double accepted e/135 mag is really nice!

Is the slide finish a matte blue like most later byf42's and early byf 43's?

Jim,

The slide is a "dusty" blue while the barrel is higher polish. Not as high polish as the early Walthers but much better than anything else I have seen from the other manufacturers.
