I was comparing two East German Luger magazines with a Mec-Gar Italian made magazine. The Italian magazine works flawlessly, and the gun never Jams. The East German magazines look much the same, but jam repeatedly. On close examination, I found that the lips on the East German magazines are slightly shorter than the Italian magazine, maybe 1/8 inch or so. I believe that the original German Luger magazines from Mauser and other sources have the longer lips like the Italian, and don't have the feed problems. Has anyone eles seen this?
