Only customers holding a Federal Firearms License (FFL) and federal, state, or local government agencies may ship firearms with FedEx. Customers holding an FFL must enter into an approved FedEx Firearms Shipping Compliance Agreement before shipping any firearms with FedEx. Also, you must be an approved firearm shipper with a signed contract on file with FedEx. For more information, contact your FedEx account executive.
Nonlicensee shippers
Nonlicensees are prohibited from shipping firearms with FedEx.

These came into effect 3Q 2021 and preclude people from shipping for repair or to sell thru a FFL.

FedEx is not the government so these rules are simply rules, not law.

Oh, yeah ...

In the U.S., FedEx no longer has an email address that you can use. Instead, they have a Virtual Support Assistant that you can use to get answers and find help.

We ship a lot thru FedEx and found them to be pretty reliable. They seem to have gotten woke.

In this new world, it is not clear how one registers a complaint.
