Finally found one in the correct serial number range.
Trigger without finger flanges.
2 different grips, one in horn the other one synthetic.
Sadly with wrong magazine, 6 holes instead of 8.

Great pistol and like you, I have wanted to find one of them also. It's very interesting the frame is proofed twice on the left and right side, on the trigger guard. I wonder if that would also be a German Occupation signifier?

Thanks guys,
I think that the pistol went back for proofing on a later date.
Hence the 2 different proofing letters N and W.

Wowo, Congratulations. one that has still eluded me. I am really intrigued by the second set of proofs on the trigger guard. I hope Anthony will see this and chime in, I can't say I ever saw one before proofed like that. It does appear to be proofed over the Square A, which would be after the acceptance, so your thought about it be being sent back for some reason would be credible, yet, I cant tell of any refinishing. so it is a bit of a mystery why it would need reproofed if it was not sent back for some reason. Unless it was German assembled and ready for shipment out when the factory changed hands again and they had to reproof it? anyway, lets hope we hear more on it as its fascinating. Congrats on a rare find!
