There is a few examples that one finds within the earlier serial ranges which has the plum colored slides. Have always considered it a insufficent concentration of bluing salts or temperature of bluing tank not up to specifications. This feature is not limited to MAB but throughtout the German production period of 1940 to 1945 of nearly all models of pistols.

1939, Code 42 Lugers are famous for their plum colored parts!! I bought one at a very reasonable price (if there is such an animal) because the seller thought it had been reblued!! It was right as rain.

My MAB Model D is a few numbers off from yours and has the same appearance.
