Thanks again Pete and Grant for this little fella . Grant's comment in the mag thread about messed up wings got me looking closer to find this E2 and Pete as usual for PC help .

Your " cowboy E2 " on the bad side thread should be removed as he has friends here . Note the bowed left leg on some and also the right wing top and middle feather . Different levels of deterioration but it sure looks to be the same stamp to me .

Here's some observations from the PICS . This would be much better in hand as angles and depth of strike REALLY CHANGE how these look .

BUT this what I have to work with and you want evidence for " cowboys " parole from "oinker land" hearing .

First is left wing center feather short .
All 7 show this .

Second is left wing inner feather short .
All but 4790 show this .

Third is left leg bowed .
All show this with 4780 being real weak ?

Fourth is right wing center feather .
Appears to be gone on 4018 , 4610 and 4842 .
Trace of it on 4780 and 4790 .
Very weak on 4685 and weak on 4268 .

Fifth is the upper wing .
Appears intact on 4018 and 4790 .
Missing inner section right side on 4268 , 4610 , 4685 , 4780 and 4842 .
Missing left upper curl on 4268 , 4685 and 4842 .

Sixth is the center circle doubled - overlapped left side and right side .
Right side shows this on 4018 , 4610 , 4685 , 4790 and 4842 .
Also a trace of it on 4268 .
Left side shows this on 4018 , 4610 , 4790 and 4842 .
Also a trace of it on 4268 .

Seventh is doubling of the strike . This is evident on 4018 , 4268 and 4685 .



I respectfully submit this on behalf of " cowboy E2 " for his upcoming parole hearing .

And again this is only from these pics and AGAIN angles and depth of strike really make these look different .

IMO the + on HK mag #4842 is correct as is the mag.

Do you have other examples EXACTLY like the one you reference ?

My issue with them is A - they are seldom seen and B - they all seem different .

I agree mag 4842 looks good [ pic is terrible ] and the E2 on it sure fits into this little run .

Maybe post this as a question on the mag bottom thread as this one is about eagles .

You have brought up repeatedly that you feel the "+" marks on some HK mags are real .

Would you please offer something to support this .

I have made it clear I think these are POST PRODUCTION and the fact they all seem different is troublesome to say the least .

Adding this [ 5834 right pic] E2 to the " dislocated right foot " examples in post 8 . It is a bit messed up from being double struck and slightly rotated in one of them . Look at the right upper wing ,the feathers and the 2 and it is also struck real hard . It is called " Hercules " E2 in post 236 of the mag study thread and is also in posts 237 and 238 . The left pic is an excellent example of " DLRF " .

Couple more tools that passed muster with the troops . Both E2's are messed up with pics 2 and 3 being taudelts " old half wing " example .

Pete just added the first pic to the mag thread and it is obviously re-numbered but the " PLF " E2 sure matches these two well .

​Here's a pair [ 944 ] and another [ 623 ] that appear to be matches . Two left pics are 944's E2's and both are double struck so look close . Far right is 623's E2 .
