My friend recently purchased a very nice G date serial 269d with matching type 1 magazine. The unique thing about the pistol is that it has 3 different G date proofs throughout the gun. the receiver is proofed droop eagle 211 and S92. The barrel, receiver lug and matched mag are proofed 154. Is this a common occurance in the d block of the G's? Also does anyone know when the DWE 211 first is seen and when it was phased out? Help!

Hi Jared, your friends G-Date with WaA E/211 & S92 (296d) is the earliest I have recorded. The previous low S/N was 730d. The latest G-Date Lugers with WaA W|154 & S92 is S/N 723d, so it overlaps a small amount. It isn't much of a surprise to see the W|154 barrel on the E/211 G-Date in this transition region. The highest E/211 I have recorded is S/N 4770d. So not too many made!!

I hope this helps!
