Salmaster, could you tell us a bit more about your luger before replying to it's rarity, ie markings on the luger frame if any. What is stamped on the toggle. Marking on the grip straps. N or O property markings.

Police issue or non police would help, little more to it than just reporting the Eagle/211 code. This code came later in the many receiver combinations of G date marking

Also your full serial number with the letter suffix would help a great deal.

The Luger in question is not mine; I saw it at an auction. Since I am not sure if I can disclose its full number, I will only show the first three digits (e-mail me for full number). It is serial number 159Xe with DE/211, S92 & DE. The gun is not Police nor Navy marked. I also found the very useful link "G DATE SERIAL NUMBERS, WITH KM AND POLICE DATA, AND ACCEPTANCE STAMPS" in this board, which answered my question.
Thanks, Tony

Yes, I would like to know the complete serial number and a re-check of the suffix letter. In the years that I have enjoyed this hobby, I'm yet to find a DE-211 S-92 pistol outside of` the - D - block. However, I must include my favorite thought "Like aerial navigation, Luger collecting is not an exact science". What is your email address? I can be found at < [email protected] >
