I don't have the new book yet, but I have had the "CZ 27 Illness" for a couple of years, so I'll provide my opinion. First: holster to me is $100. That may be high? That may be low? I'm not sure if high / low. I don't care much about holsters, and I don't know much about them, but if a holster is period correct / "matching", that's worth $100 +/- to me.
As to the pistol: It looks nice and in quite good condition. Sales prices have increased in the last couple of years. This pistol is a fairly common variant (doesn't mean not desirable, but it does mean that if you don't buy this one you don't have to search for the next 1-2-3-5 years to hope to find this variant again). If I needed this variant, then in this condition I'm at about $500 +/- (plus $100 on the holster). Then, add whatever $$ premium to get it "now" vs to continue to search, look, evaluate, etc.
That's my $.02. Others here no doubt have better insight. I only have 10-12 CZ27s, and am still learning!!
One nice thing about collecting CZ 27s is that if we "over pay", then it may be a lot on a % basis, but compared to Lugers, P. 38s, 1911s, etc., when we "overpay" the amount on a $$ basis isn't tremendous. We can make mistakes by paying "too much" and still afford our rent / mortgage / electric bill next month.
