I recently accquired a 1916 Erfurt and it had a nickle magazine with an alum base marked 'germany' and no other marks. I have never seen an alum base marked in this manner. Could someone advise what this magazine was for. Is it rare? Thank You D. Z.
Do not believe your magazine is rare, as the wood bottom ones with Germany stamp are not rare.
The walnut bases came before aluminum ones period wise. It would be nice to have a photo of the stamp if possible before declaring it correct.
