Greetings to the group!

Wondering if anyone has any experience with These P38s http://www.germansales.com/p38.htm from German Sales Promotions. They look superb in the pix and I'm getting "that itch" to spring for one...Any idea what the import mark looks like on these and where it is located? Sadly import marks are a fact of life on items like these and as such can make an otherwise attractive piece quite UN-attractive if placed conspicuously or executed poorly. Any and all thoughts/comments welcomed.

TIA,
Steve

There was a lengthy discussion on the P38forum [www.p38forum.com] about this dealer. The short answer is that the hype is all BullS__t and they are recent imports from the Ukraine....some even with that Russian 'X' mark on them.

I was also told that all sales are 'final'...[scary?]

So much for this "Holy Grail"...As the saying goes "If it seems too good to be true it probably is..." Many thanks Orvel, for pointing us to the link on P38forum.com regarding this "fraud". Perhaps at 2/3 or 1/2 the price with an honest account of their origin but never at the present price and as represented. In a nutshell a Very tall story from a Very small (unscrupulous) individual.

Thanks!

Hi there
Yust saw this picture of those P.38 pistols. What I can say about this picture is that if this is taken in the Ukrain it must be a long time ago. And I really wonder how they were allowed to take this picture. All these P38 pistols that has been laying around in the Ukrain were laying in military storage and noone can convince me that they got a permission to take pictures there - I have really tryed myself- the ukrainians are really careful about these things, believe me. And again these pistols were not stored like this at all.

I tend to think the picture posted by Edward (Weimar_Police) is more likely a "show 'em what ya have for sale" pic (courtesy of GSP???) rather than one from within the Ukraine arsenal. Anyway you look at it, that much "collectible hardware" in one place is a daunting sight! Sure wish my basement was "furnished" like that! :)
