·Hello all, I got a Luger the day before yesterday at the Reno Gun show, decided to come here and show you all some pics... It's my first luger.
Don't mind my 92FS that snuck into those 3 bottom pictures--- Feeling lonely I guess.
It's a 1940 Mauser Luger that was a bring back, and they gave it to me for $850. It's in pretty good condition from the looks, and it's got all parts matching including the magazine (But there isn't a magazine loading tool.)
Here's where the Beretta sneaks in (Sorry, take better pics later)
Just to show the otherside of the luger.
This is my first Luger, and I still have yet to open her up and look at her bore. Given the apparent condition do you think I should shoot it? How fragile are these things, i'd hate to make it non-matching by breaking something. (Expected service life?)
I haven't decided whether I should fire it or not, what kind of ammo would be the best for it? Should I use softer loads?
